Pastor Doug Silvers has been in ministry for thirty-five years. He spent fifteen years in youth ministry before transitioning to adult pulpit ministry. He has an undergraduate degree from Bryan College in Business Administration and a Master of Theology degree from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY. Pastor Doug has been married for thirty-two years to Brenda and has two sons, Dakota and Logan, who are both married and have one daughter each. Pastor Doug loves people and the relationships kindled through the work and ministry of Jesus.
Tyler Lynch answered the call to ministry in 2022 and after completing certified lay ministry training, accepted the role of Youth Director at Trinity Methodist Church. Tyler has a big heart for leading the younger generation on their walk with Christ. He is an avid outdoorsman, a husband to his wife, Taylor, and father to their 6 year old daughter, Neyland. Things that are most important to Tyler are living a life of honesty and integrity and setting the best example he can as a follower of Christ for his daughter and those he leads through youth ministry.
Erin Moore is the Assistant Director of Youth at Trinity Methodist Church. She felt called to youth ministry in 2013 and began serving as an intern at Trinity in 2015. After later serving as a youth director in Knox, she felt God calling her back home to Trinity in 2021. Erin recently graduated from WGU with a degree in special education and currently works at Fairview Marguerite Elementary School in Morristown.

Brenda Silvers has been married to Doug Silvers for thirty-two years and they have two sons who are both married and have given them a granddaughter each. Brenda has always been active in church, beginning with several years in youth and choir. She has taught fifth graders as well as leading a puppet ministry and teaching children's church. Brenda now serves in the nursery in the 0-3 year old class on Sundays and the 0-6 year olds on Wednesdays.

Shirley F. Vaughn serves as Director of Music Ministry, bringing decades of dedication and musical excellence to her calling. She has played piano for 56 years, organ for 48 years, and performs on multiple other instruments. When she’s not making music, Shirley manages Tennova Heart and Cardiothoracic Surgeons to support her “music habit.” She is married to Larry Vaughn and is a proud mama to Erin Moore, Assistant Youth Director.
Lee Akins has been involved in church music, both as a Minister of Music and pianist, for many years, serving in several local churches. He was born and raised in Morristown and graduated from Morristown East High School. Lee attended Carson-Newman College where he obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music with emphasis in Piano. At Carson-Newman, he studied piano with Dr. Paul Ridgway and Dr. Mark Hussung, conducting with Dr. Louis Ball and Dr. Eric Thorson, and organ with Mary Charlotte Ball. Lee met his beautiful and talented wife, Mitzi at Carson-Newman. They live in Morristown with their awesome children, Gracie and Joshua, and have 2 children waiting for them in Heaven. Fun fact about Lee: through his study with Dr. Paul Ridgway, Lee's piano heritage can be traced back to Ludwig van Beethoven. Dr. Ridgway was a student of Leon Fleisher, who had been a student of Artur Schnabel, student of Theodor Leschetizky, student of Carl Czerny, student of Beethoven.
Jessica Poole has served on Trinity’s staff as Worship Media Coordinator since 2013. In her role at Trinity, Jessica supports worship through media and technology, helping create meaningful and accessible worship experiences. Having grown up at Liberty Hill UMC, Jessica found a true church home at Trinity, where her faith and gifts continue to be nurtured. She and her husband, Brian, were married at Trinity in 2018.
Jessica is a graduate of Carson-Newman University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. After 13½ years in public education, she followed a call into emergency services and now serves full-time as an Advanced EMT with Morristown-Hamblen EMS. She also serves as Lead Skills Instructor for the agency’s in-house EMT program. Through both her ministry and professional work, Jessica is passionate about service, leadership, and supporting others in moments that matter most.
Candice Harris serves as hymn leader at Trinity Methodist Church. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Carson-Newman College and has a deep passion for leading others in worship through music. She is married to John and the proud mom of five. Candice is grateful for the opportunity to step into this role and looks forward to growing alongside her church family in this new season of ministry.
Julia Partin is a graduate of Morehead State University in Morehead, KY, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. She is married to Jordan and they have two children, Abby and Jake. Julia is a homeschool mom and serves the homeschool community in the Lakeway area in many ways. She spent 2 years as a general music teacher in the Bell County School System in Bell County, KY before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Julia has also been an online English tutor for students in China, a standardized test scorer in high school writing, and operates her own cottage baking business. Julia serves as a pianist, worship leader, Bible study leader, and youth leader at her church. She enjoys serving the people of Trinity Methodist Church as their administrative assistant and loves that she gets a front-row seat to watch God at work in Morristown through His church here at Trinity.

Doyle Wolfe was born in Hancock County, TN in 1947 and grew up in Roane County, TN. He served in the US Army and upon discharge from the military he moved to Morristown. Doyle graduated from Carson-Newman College and was employed as a Special Education teacher in the Hamblen County School system until retirement. He is married and has 2 sons, a grandson who is deceased, a granddaughter, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Tammy Ashley has had the privilege of providing her cleaning services here at Trinity Methodist Church since April 2025. She also serves two other churches and 9 Air BnB's with her cleaning services. Tammy is finishing her degree in Education with the loving support of her very patient husband, 5 children, and 2 grandsons. She is blessed beyond measure and thankful for all God provides and blesses her with daily.
